How to Edit PLR Articles

Here's a 5 minute video by expert copywriter and Internet marketer Tiffany Dow about how to edit PLR articles. It is very clear and to-the-point.

The video takes you right through the process from editing the PLR article to finding relevant topical content on Google to add to your article as unique content and give it some ooomph on the search engines.

Thanks for the tips, Tiffany!

Best wishes,

Is Modifying PLR Products To Make Them "Unique" Worth The Time?

One method Internet marketers use to leverage their time is to make use of private label rights products. Good quality, limited circulation PLR products offer online marketers an excellent opportunity if they know how best to exploit them.

PLR products come in many forms, such as e-books, reports, article packs, software packages, CDs, and such like.

However, an obvious drawback to using PLR products is that many other Internet marketers may be using them as well. So, if you choose the lazy route and decide to promote the products
exactly as they were when you purchased them, you will not be differentiating yourself from all the other "lazy" competitors who also did not bother to modify them.

If you choose to sell them as they are, at least make the effort to use your own unique intro to the products on your website or blog.

Not every PLR product has to be sold for it to be valuable to Internet marketers.
There are many advantages to using plr articles as content on your website and on your
blog.

If you are going to publish articles under your own name, then reworking them is something you definitely want to do.
PLR content can be modified sufficiently for your purposes in a relatively short time.
It really needn't take more than a few minutes to do what is necessary to make a PLR article unique for the search engines.
Simply change a few words, paragraphs, or sentences to differentiate it from the original content.
You can also do things such as re-ordering numbered items and adding items or even removing some completely from the list, and of course, you can also re-order the items on the list.

Busy marketers might consider outsourcing this job. Websites such as elance.com are a good place to look for people who will be willing to rework
the PLR content for you at an very reasonable price.

One final point to consider is that if you add additional value to the PLR products you want to sell, you'll be able to raise the price.
This is another way to set yourself apart from the competition.

Reworking PLR products is definitely worth the effort, whether you intend to use the material or repackage it and sell it on.

Internet Marketing PLR Articles - Just $1 Each!

A few months ago I started a Internet Marketing PLR article club with a 100 member limit.

Each month I write 10 articles for my subscribers. Every article is about Internet marketing, running a home-based Internet business, success-mentality and related themes.

In other words, if you need articles to promote your Internet marketing website and subscribe to my service you won't have to sort through tons of useless articles to find a few that you can use.

Membership costs just $10 a month. I deliberately fixed on a price that anyone can afford. I also like the idea of writing good quality articles for just a dollar a piece.

Sure, they are PLR articles so you will need to modify them, but they are well researched and well written, and have not been reproduced thousands of times already.

Every article is limited to 100 users max.

As I add new articles, I remove old ones from the members' site.

==> NEW! ARTICLE MODIFICATION SERVICE <==

Members of my article club can also take advantage of my members-only article modification service.

During the first half of each month I take the previous month's articles and modify them so that at least 40% of the content of each article is unique.

That means, 40% unique compared to the original AND 35% unique when compared to EVERY OTHER MODIFIED VERSION OF THE ARTICLE!!

It makes your head spin just thinking about it!

But it does ensure that each person will receive an article that can be posted as-is on their website or blog.

I DO IT MYSELF!

Every modification is manually typed in by myself to make sure that every part of the article makes sense and the whole remains coherent. I then cross-check all the articles against the original and each other and tweak and polish them until they all meet the criteria.

REASONABLE PRICE!

The modification service costs members just $27.50 for all ten articles.

TESTIMONIAL

Here is the verdict of one of my loyal subscribers:

"I started using David's exclusive PLR article service a couple of months ago and it has been like a gift that fell out of the sky. I am way too busy to come up with my own article content, but I know that it is a necessary part of internet marketing. I tried 4 different article writing services before this and was always sorely disappointed with the quality of the articles - they always lacked substance. Then along came Davidʼs articles - well written and full of useful content. Now because it is a small PLR club, the articles still need to be re-written to make them unique. Again, David came to the rescue for me as he re-writes each of the 10 monthly articles for me at an unbelievably reasonable price. My article supply problem now has been nicely solved. Thanks for the great service, David."

A Quick Guide to Article Writing

Novice article writers tend to make a lot of mistakes when they submit their articles to article directories.

Here is a quick tip sheet of stuff you need to focus on to get your articles approved, read, and working for you.

1. Give Hype The Old Heave-Ho!

Stop talking up a product that you are trying to sell. In fact, stop trying to sell it altogether!

Remember, people do not like being sold to.

Cut out the exclamation marks!!! The first unintended effect you generate in your readers is the impression that you think they are stupid.

The second unintended effect is that you traduce** yourself. Writing in an exclamatory tone sounds insincere.

2. This Is The Information Age, So Stick To Informative Articles.

How-to articles, self-help tips, detailed product reviews - having first TESTED the product, stuff like that, done well, is going to earn you the respect of your readers where selling to them never will.

Because you need to do some research before writing how-to articles, it is best to stick to topics you understand. Writing articles is about communicating your understanding of the subject matter in such a way as to make it clear to the reader. Give the reader the sense that something of value has been conveyed.

Conduct Keyword Research Before You Start Writing.

Keywords are simply the words that people enter into the search engines to find information about a certain topic. You want to think about what words people would enter to search for an article like the one you are about to write.

Include those keywords in the title of your article if possible, and once in the opening and closing paragraph and just once or twice in the main body. Stuffing articles with the same keyword phrase is not a good policy and it certainly makes the article sound strange when it is read.

Using longer keyword phrases will probably help your article to rank higher on search engines, although the keyword phrase will be less frequently keyed in by prospective online readers.

The best place to start researching keywords is with Google. Google's Keyword Research Tool will give you a list of related keywords in your niche, plus the search count, competition, monthly trends and so on. You can find it here:

https://adwords.google.com/select/KeywordToolExternal

Write For Humans, Not For Spiders

Always address your article to real readers, not the search engines. Remember, keywords are best when they occur naturally in the text. Anything else will be counter-productive.

Try, For Goodness Sake, To Be Original.

If you can't say anything new about a topic, at least try to present it in an original way.

You could adopt a contrarian approach for example, or see something from a different angle or perspective.

Whatever you do, keep your text readable, conversational, and entertaining.

Never underestimate the power of a well written web article.

Spellcheck AND Proofread...

How many people slap out an article and hit the publish button without even putting it through a spell checker?

After you have spell-checked it, proofread your article - spell-checkers are not grammar checkers!

K-I-S-Stupid!

Keep It and Short and Strong. Cut out the junk. If you don't know what junk is, just cut out the first paragraph, that is where a lot of inexperienced article writers stash the biggest proportion of hogwash.

Enjoy!

Learn to love writing articles and life will be a lot sweeter all round. If you have a ball writing your article it might just show through and make the article much more enjoyable to read.

Cheers!

The ABC of modifying PLR Articles

The most important thing to understand about PLR articles is that the basic article has already been created for you. This saves you the trouble of having to sweat over creating an article from scratch.

You could simply upload your PLR article to your site, but this is not the best way to use it.

Instead, spend some time modifying the PLR article and turning it into something different from what your competitors who bought the same product have. Getting into the habit of changing a private label rights article is one of the most important things you will do when using these products. It may take some time, but far less time than thinking up a topic, planning and writing an original article from scratch.

Here are some ways to modify a PLR article:

  1. Completely rewrite the title, inserting your own keywords if possible.
  2. Delete one of the paragraphs of the PLR article.
  3. Add a paragraph of your own to the article.
  4. Try and find a good way to rearrange the paragraphs.
  5. Reverse the order of clauses in some sentences.
  6. Turn active sentences into passive ones and passive sentences into active ones.
  7. Replace single words with longer phrases and longer phrases with single words.
  8. Whenever there is a list, add something extra to it.
You are allowed to put your name on PLR articles. This means you can publish the product under your name. Many people use PLR articles simply to take advantage of this option. If you work over your PLR articles as I have suggested, you need not feel so bad about putting your name to it, since you will have made it 40-50% original anyway!

Think Big With Article Marketing, Like Writing Over 100 Articles Per Month...

A lot of Internet marketers would concur that article marketing is a great way to promote your Internet business - in theory...

But when it comes to practising what you preach - "praxis" is what old Karl Marx called it - many an article marketing revolutionary comes unstuck!!

Let's face it, most people can barely find the energy or inspiration to squeeze out one article per week, let alone one article per day...

But I say, why not write and publish five to ten articles PER DAY. Aim to publish over 100 articles per month (less than 3 per day in a full 31 day month!!).

STOP THINKING SMALL!

The best way of increasing the number of articles you can crank out is to focus on your knowledge. Write about what you know about. That way you can write well without spending time researching your subject. Get into the habit of writing off the cuff.

2. Did you know that Ezinearticles.com only requires 250 words per article?

Other article directories want articles of 400 words or more. What you could do is write as many 250 word articles as possible and submit them to Ezinearticles and any other directory that accepts shorter articles.

You will be saving yourself 150 words per article, which can really add up over time and help you write more articles per day.

3. Generate some passion when you write by writing articles in a niche which you have some real feeling for. Write with feeling and you will find it much easier to turn out articles - in fact you will probably have to cut longer articles into two, and post them as TWO short, pithy articles instead of just over-long one!

4. Focus 100% of your attention on finishing the article you are writing. Think of it as a race that is set before you. You might even want to set your alarm clock and race against that.

5. If the prospect of STARTING seems difficult, try playing a trick on your mind... Tell yourself that you will just write the opening paragraph... just ten minutes... It usually takes a few minutes to warm up, and so after ten minutes, allow yourself another ten minutes, and so on. You will often find yourself entering a writing comfort zone and when you do, start churning out articles out as fast as you can.

If you are not a fast typist, consider investing in a voice recognition software program such as Dragon (http://www.nuance.com/naturallyspeaking/) and dictate your articles. Once you are accustomed to it, it will prove a huge timesaver. Your articles will also be composed in a more natural, conversational style.

6. If none of what I have suggested so far sounds appealing to you, then you should look around for a high quality article writer to do the job for you. Remember, time is money and hiring someone to do a job you hate doing will free up your time so that you can do other things for your Internet business that you enjoy.

But whatever you do, think in terms of multiplying the number of articles you publish every month. Think big in order to reap big rewards!

Six Ways For Internet Marketers To Write Better Articles

Here are six easy ways for Internet marketers to write better articles.

1. Build a long list of keywords for the niche your business is in. By long I mean at least 100 keyword phrases.

You can use free keyword research tools such as those provided by Google and Wordtracker to help you with your list.

2. Once you have your list, base each of your articles around one or two of the keywords that are on it, and point each article to a page on your website that is also dedicated to that keyword phrase.

3. Write titles that will stand out. One way to get some ideas for this is to go to your favorite article directory and check out some of the titles of the articles.

Make a Notepad file of potential titles for your articles based on the ones that catch your eye. Think about both the search engines and your target readership when you write your title; a good title will be both punchy and keyword-rich.

4. Make your first paragraph as strong as possible that makes people want to continue reading the rest of your article. Seek to draw people into the rest of the article with a snappy, surprising, or intriguing opening.

5. A great article does not have to be long. Some of the best articles are ones that stay sharply focused on a single theme. Make every word count; make every sentence pull its weight. Don't ramble.

6. Time is money: If you are manually submitting your articles, make sure you focus on the best quality article directories such as to Ezinearticles.com. Don't waste time on low ranking directories. Ezinearticles.com is the top article directory on the Internet and if you only submit to one directory, it should be this one.

On the other hand, if you want to submit to a wide range of directories, consider using a service such as SubmitYourArticle.com.

These six steps will help you to get better results with every article you write... Now it is up to you to write the articles!
